'The Cessol' by Antonio Stradivari, Cremona 1716.
This hand made violin was made in 2007 by Ian Greig using the best of materials. The highly flamed back of the violin is of narrow flaming and shows off the wood to its natural beauty.
Fitted with Pirastro Evah Pirazzi strings and gold "E"
Peter Sheppard Skaerved, who plays at the Royal Academy of Music, played it and said the instrument was very impressive in tone, with a dark and sinister side to it.
All my hand made violins have been played by professional violinists and commented very favourably on tone and responsiveness of the Instrument, and evenness across the strings.
